Meristogenys phaeomerus

ID by Paul Imbun Dingguron. Found 21 May 2022. 9:16PM. Kiulu. Posted 25 May 2022. During night walk on this date, I found plenty of this frog perching on rock just near the river stream. Some of this frog found perching on plants near the river about 1-2 feet from the ground as seen in this photo. I also found a mating pair of the frog. According to a book titled A Field Guide to The Frogs of Borneo, 3rd ed., when not breeding, this species wanders widely through the forest.

During night walk , I found plenty of this frog perching on rock just near the river stream. Some of this frog found perching on plants near the river about 1-2 feet from the ground.

Found 21 May 2022. 8:23 PM. Kiulu. Posted 26 May 2022. In amplexus position. I did try my best to approach slowly this mating pair without disturbing the whole process. After 3 clicks of my camera, I leave it slowly. Glad to see the frog continue with the mating process.
