So, another trip 😉 . Really enjoy the natures. Birds singing, butterflies on the river side, got river stream, got real “black night” 😉 , waterfall, Rafflesia, welcoming by villagers. It’s a wonderful experience ;). Scroll down for the story. I’ll let the pictures tell everything ;). Please note that all photos inclusive of 4th trips.
Leptolalax pictus
Cyrtodactylus sp. Cyrtodactylus baluensis? Some information saying that C. baluensis is endemic to Mount Kinabalu. So not sure if this Gecko is C. baluensis because it was found at Tambunan. The size is small compared to the C. baluensis we found at Mount Kinabalu.
Dorsal view: perching on a leaf about 2 feets from the ground near a stream. Night found. Meristogenys. Meristogenys orphnocnemis?

Flatid hopper, Flatidae
Cleridae
Leafhopper nymph? My first impression it looks like a Katydid, but its eyes resemble a Mantis. This creature sometimes keep moving from left to right, and right to left exactly mimicking the mantis behaviour

beautiful Mantid fly. My first encounter 😉
Scorpion fly, (Mecoptera), female. Again, my first encounter 😉
When there is a female, there must be a male too. Scorpion fly (Mecoptera,) male, with prey 😉
..And another angle of the scorpion fly with prey. So nature and love to see them in nature. I read from online found that this insect cannot sting. The male look scary because of it genitalia which is look alike scorpion stinger. Anyhow, don’t bother to try as I did not do that. I only take picture without touching it.
Tiger beetle.
This beetle is about to fly by the time I spotted it (10.42 am). Less than 30 sec. Only managed to get 7 shots of this beetle. Never seen before.
2nd shots
More story coming soon.. still have a lot of story 😉
